Rochdale Council investigating unauthorised development at Pembroke Court
Rochdale Council is currently investigating an unauthorised developments at Pembroke Court, off Whitworth Road, after receiving a number of reports.
A local resident contacted Rochdale Online on Sunday (27 June) to state that work had been going on at the site for a number of weeks and as far as she was aware, planning permission had not been granted for the site.
The resident was also concerned for the workmen’s safety, as from what she has observed, health and safety rules don’t seem to be in place.
Mark Widdup, Director of Economy and Environment at Rochdale Borough Council, said: “We are currently investigating reports of unauthorised development at Pembroke Court and considering what action may be appropriate.
“We will also notify the Health and Safety Executive of the alleged breaches of health and safety law.”
